Description
IEEE-488.2 interface for USB-compatible computersThe USB-488 is a USB to GPIB Control Module that converts any PC with a USB interface into a complete IEEE 488.2 Bus Controller section. The unit performs all the basic functions of the IEEE-488.1 such as talker, listener and controller. Its controller routines makes it fully compliant with the IEEE 488.2 specification. The USB-488 module is a Plug & Play USB peripherals that is supported under Microsoft Windows 8 / 7 and Vista 32-bits and 64-bits and Windows XP and 2000 32-bits operating systems.
Hardware:
The USB-488 controller is a small module that plugs into any open GPIB connector. It can be the open terminal of a cable stack or on the back of an instrument.
Software:
The USB-488 includes GPIB-488 software for Windows 8 / 7 and Vista 32-bits and 64-bits and Windows XP and Windows 2000 32-bits, and LabVIEW ™. The driver provides support for Visual Basic, and C/C++ language programs and is compatible with National Instruments VISA and LabVIEW.
