Constructed by the worlds most skilled luthiers, from the worlds most sought after tone woods over one hundred and thirteen years ago.  This mandolin is completely original, structurally sound and making music as intended to.
Frank Henry Martin signed dated and serialized this mandolin (visible from the interior soundboard via a mirror) giving his personal mark of approval.  After a century of playing time this mandolin bears only the inevitable  aesthetic wear from honest playing time, validating Mr. Martins skill and craftsmanship.
Simply incredible to find in any condition, this mandolin is in fantastic playing condition.  The action is low, original frets are in good shape and the mandolin plays clean without any buzzing or dead spots.  It has just been setup lightly cleaned and restrung with extra light strings.  There are no cracks, breaks or repairs.   There is some finish wear and minor dents/dings, but all can be observed in the pictures.   Please view the pictures for a full aesthetic description.
The original case is included with this mandolin.  However, the case is in poor shape.   The straps and handle are missing and the leather is deteriorating.     Please note the case is be included as it is original, but needs serious restoration if you intend to use it with the mandolin.
