. This Mandolin is tuned one octave lower than the standard mandolin, expanding your range of expression on an instrument that you can be instantly comfortable with. Built in China, the OM-800+ features a generous 22.5" scale length, commonly used by the best custom makers in Ireland, and made from a beautiful arched solid spruce top.
The back and sides on this mandolin are made from mahogany, matching the construction of the thin U-profile mahogany neck, and home to a perfectly smooth and easy-to-play compound select wood fingerboard, designed for fast and easy chording or precision melody work.
