Antique NoName Bowl Back 8 String Mandolin Butterfly Inlay Very Playable & Tone
This one plays properly with easy low action and has good tone. There is no damage or repairs. The finish is original and has wear consistent with age. My best guess on age is early 1900s or late 1800s. The neck is straight and the neck joint is good. The frets are original and in good condition. The tuning gears are somewhat sloppy, but they tune and hold pitch. The body is sound, with no cracks or separations. The case shows a bit of wear and tear, but serves the purpose.
