Description
Travel back in time with this cool old mandolin. Made by the late, great Harmony Company in 1975 or 1976, it commemorates that great Bicentennial year of 1976. Harmony also made a 1976 Bicentennial banjo.I don't think this one was ever played much. It has some ordinary age wear, notably lacquer finish checking. The frets and rosewood fretboard are in fine condition. Pearloid inlaid fret marker dots. Kluson open-back tuner work well. The plastic pickguard cracks in half, but has been carefully joined on the underside with duct tape (see the second to last photo). Importantly, the 12th fret action is
It comes in the original black chipboard case, which is in fine condition. The case handle, latches, and hinges all work properly.
It sounds really good. It's a classic All-American mandolin, ready to play.
