    The top is spruce, the neck is mahogany, and the bowl is... Brazilian rosewood with p
    earl & ebony trim!
    Other than a 5/8" rub mark on the bottom of the instrument (see the 10th pic), the finish appears flawless.  No cracks, breaks, chips.  Unfortunately, missing a bone tuning knob.
    The case is in rough shape, clearly having done its job protecting the mandolin for 130 years.
